Shop photo prompts for Raphael AI
Small online shops rarely have a studio. This repository collects prompts that produce clean, catalogue-style product scenes with Raphael AI, a free AI image generator that runs in the browser (https://raphael.app). Use the images as mockups, banner backgrounds or placeholder shots while real photography is scheduled.
Before you prompt
- Decide the one surface: marble, linen, kraft paper, birch plywood.
- Decide the light: north-window daylight, softbox from the left, or warm late-afternoon sun.
- Decide what must not be there: logos, text, hands, clutter.
Recipes
| Product | Prompt |
|---|---|
| Candle | amber glass candle on raw linen, soft window light from left, shallow depth of field, no label text |
| Earrings | pair of hammered brass earrings on grey slate, macro, top light, clean background |
| Tea tin | matte green tea tin beside loose leaves on birch board, morning light, no logo |
| Notebook | stack of kraft notebooks with elastic band, overhead flat lay, white seamless paper |
Paste a row into Raphael AI, generate three variants, keep the best, then change only the surface word to build a consistent set.
Keeping a set consistent
Shoppers notice when every thumbnail has a different mood. Lock the light phrase and the background phrase across the whole catalogue; vary only the product noun. That one rule does more for a storefront than any filter.
Honest limits
Generated packshots are not a substitute for photos of the real item when buyers need exact colour or size. Label mockups as illustrations where your marketplace requires it, and replace them with real photos once you have them.
